#ShadowEarpers: Shadowhunters and Wynonna Earp Fans Are a Match Made in Heaven

What happens when two fanbases with absolutely #NoChill go head-to-head? They end up becoming best friends! Following an unprecedented fan write-in campaign, Shadowhunters was nominated for five awards at this year’s E!Online People’s Choice Awards and took home four of them: #TheShow, #TheBingeworthyShow, #TheFemaleTVStar (Kat McNamara), and #TheMaleTVStar (Harry Shum Jr.).

Shadowhunters lost #TheSciFiFantasyShow to Wynonna Earp, another show that had gotten on the ballot via fan’s write-in votes. But rather than letting this cause tensions to flare up between the two dedicated fanbases, something beautiful happened…they became #ShadowEarpers.

There is perhaps no greater joy for a diehard fan than re-experiencing your favorite show for the first time through someone else’s eyes. Members of both fandoms have been enthusiastically welcoming newcomers into the fold.
