Meet Su Damla! Known as ‘Supectrum’ or ‘Su,’ for short; she is a 17-year-old artist and fandom member from Istanbul, Turkey.
Describe yourself in three words.
The three words I’d use would be: energetic, clumsy, and social butterfly.
How long have you been drawing?
My mom says that I’ve been drawing since I was three years old, but I started digital art almost 11 months ago.
How did you get involved in the Shadowhunters fandom?
I came across the trailer for Season 1 by accident actually. It was such a strange coincidence because I was watching a video of this bartender making unique drinks because I was gonna host a party that week and it was just there in the ‘Recommended’ section on YouTube. After watching the trailer, I was intrigued.
Who is your favorite character to draw and why?
I’d say, Magnus, since his facial features are quite relaxing to draw and coming up with outfits for him is always a fun thing to work on, but ever since Maia made an appearance, I just couldn’t stop drawing her, especially her hair.
What ships do you ship, and why you love them so much?
I’m gonna have to go with Lucelyn, Malec, Clizzy, and Saphael. Lucelyn is such a powerful and romantic couple that had so much potential. Malec has an incredible storyline, which I hope they won’t mess up since it’s the only queer couple they have at the moment. Clizzy has a great dynamic and Saphael has fantastic chemistry. And I ship Jace with the happiness he deserves.
What is the best part of your fandom experience so far?
Just interacting with people, either those who are fans of my work or cast members, has been amazing. The fandom is a spectacular community when it comes to creativity. Every exchange I’ve ever made opened doors to different things. I’ve learned so much from you all and I continue to do so every day. I really appreciate every single person in this fandom!
